The Project Manager will go over the needs in terms of turn-around time and volume of words to be translated.
The Project Manager plans the work schedule and will assign the document to translators whose native language is that which the document is being translated into.
Senior most translators will manage the terminology flow and language consistency.
A person who is fluent in both the target and source languages then edits the document.
After the document is edited, then it is proofread as per the approved samples or glossary if any. Final spell check is also done at this stage.
Quality Control. In this last step, before delivering the final version of the document, the Project Manager makes sure all of the above steps have been followed to ensure that the translation is accurate, nothing is missing and the layout is perfect.
